First Thoughts

After recently volunteering for the 8K Shamrock Shuffle that took place in Chicago, I decided that one of the things on my bucket list would be to run a marathon. First, I needed to decide what type of marathon I wanted to participate in. Since I have been competitively swimming ever since I can remember and I have had prior experience being a part of a cross-country team, I decided to train for a triathalon.

Other things I need to start considering include:
  • Diet (since I'm going to be using up so much of my energy on training, I'm going to have to make sure my body is still getting the necessary nutients it needs)
  • Time (I need to pick a date for my triathalon so that I can begin spacing out my training to incorporate adequate amounts of time for each of the three events)
  • Motivation and Support (It is always nice to have a cheering squad, but even better to have someone to tackle the training with you)
